about

General World Models (GWMs) are set to transform how we create, design, and tell stories. With this TETRA project, AP Hogeschool Antwerpen and imec-mict-UGent aim to guide Flemish audiovisual SMEs through this shift — helping them experiment responsibly, integrate AI into workflows, and unlock new creative and competitive potential.

The rapid rise of generative AI,  and now General World Models (GWMs), signals a new chapter for the audiovisual sector. These tools can generate video, animation, and 3D environments in seconds, opening up new possibilities for faster workflows, creative ideation, and even AI avatars that interact socially. But with all this promise comes confusion and complexity.

That’s where this project comes in. We aim to provide practical help in navigating this emerging landscape with clarity and confidence. Through hands-on experiments, custom workflows, and real-world use cases, we’ll explore what GWMs can (and can’t) do – and when it makes sense to integrate them into your production process.

Our mission isn’t to overhype the trend – but to help companies answer key questions:

Will GWMs benefit my creative team or disrupt our flow?

What infrastructure do I need to try them out?

How can I use these tools ethically, affordably, and effectively?

With a strong focus on inclusion, skill-building, and data responsibility, this project supports creatives in understanding and shaping the future of AI-assisted video production.
